hi, i'm claire!

i'm a graphic designer by day,
and an illustrator in all of the hours i have leftover.i love bringing stories to life through stylized illustration. the focus of my style is on bold and geometric linework, paired with with dramatic lighting, limited color palettes, and fantasy themes. i also enjoy using my layout design experience to create polished and professional book covers with custom typography.when i don't have a canvas in front of me, you can find me with my nose in a fantasy book, my gaming headset on, playing dungeons and dragons, or researching cafes to visit around the world.

pricing + rates

all of the prices listed below are starting commercial rates,
which include promotional + limited commercial licensing for the piece.
for large distribution or merchandise licensing, commercial rates are subject to increase.

character art

$200+

includes 1-2 characters and a simple background. prices subject to increase for high-detail backgrounds / compositions.

scene illustration

$300+

for scenes with 3+ characters/creatures or a highly detailed background scene.

comic illustration

$200+

starting page rate is for a 5-6 panel page. additional panels per page will come with an increased page rate.

cover art

$500+

prices range based on the nature of the cover art (number of subjects, front or full wrap illustration, background detail) and if custom typography + layout design is needed.

book interiors

$150 - $500

chapter break art: $150+
sprayed edge art: $250
map design: $300+
endpaper art: $500

payment

standard payments are handled as invoices, and can be paid via card, Paypal transfer or bank transfer.
i ask all independent clients for a 50% deposit upfront and the remaining 50% when the piece is completed.
for publishing houses and book boxes, reach out to confirm alternate payment methods.

terms of service

i handle projects on a monthly basis. once you've confirmed that the pricing and timing works for you, i'll send you a contract with expected timeline and final delivery of the piece, as well as my terms of service and what's covered under your promotional and commercial licenses.
