all of the prices listed below are starting rates for commercial work.
these rates all include limited promotional + commercial licensing for the piece.

character art

starting at:

$200 with simple background
$250 with illustrated background

couple illustration

starting at:

$300 with simple background
$350 with illustrated background

scene illustration

starting at:

$400 for large cast of characters and/or a highly-detailed landscape/setting

comic illustration

starting at:

$250 / pg for grayscale
$300 / pg for full color

cover art

starting at:

$500 for illustrated front, basic layout
$750 for full-wrap illustration, type, layout

book interiors

featured inside the book:

chapter break art: $100
map design: $250+
endpaper art: $300+

payment method

standard payments are handled as invoices, and can be paid via card, Paypal transfer or bank transfer.
i ask all independent clients for a 50% deposit upfront and the remaining 50% when the piece is completed.
for publishing houses and book boxes, alternate payment method are accepted.

my process

projects are booked in monthly slots on a first-come, first-serve basis.
here's what a typical month looks like:
